The extra layer brokers add on top of identity

Regulated brokers cannot stop at identity. They also have to record an appropriateness or suitability assessment: your experience, instrument knowledge, income band and risk tolerance. Answer inconsistently and the profile is capped or restricted to a narrower instrument set, regardless of how clean the identity documents were. Every unit here has a completed, internally consistent assessment on file alongside verified identity and address records.

Funded-ready, not merely approved

Approval and usability are different states. An approved broker profile can still sit behind a pending deposit review, a missing tax declaration, or an unconfirmed payment rail. We only move a unit into stock once the deposit rail is enabled and no review flag is open, so the first thing you do with the account is trade rather than chase a compliance queue.

Keeping the profile consistent after handover

The most common self-inflicted problem is contradicting the questionnaire later. If the file records moderate experience and a conservative risk band, opening a highly leveraged position on day one invites a review. The handover checklist summarises the answers on file so your activity stays consistent with them, and explains how to update the assessment properly if you want a different profile.
