KYB is the real gate, not KYC
Gateway onboarding checks the business: registration certificate, ownership structure, a director identity that matches the register, a business bank record and a live website describing what is actually sold. Personal identity is one line item inside that set.
Our business verification bundles ship the whole corporate file — formation documents, ownership chart, tax identification and address proof — with a walkthrough explaining which document answers which question. That walkthrough is why KYB handovers take one to three hours rather than minutes.
Payout readiness in three checks
First, the settlement bank record must be in the same legal name as the registered business. Second, the declared business category must match the site the gateway will crawl. Third, the first batch of transactions must look like the declared category — a stated software business taking round-number high-ticket payments on day one will be held for review.
We tell buyers the third point before they pay, because it is the most common reason a technically valid merchant account stops paying out.
Handover and ownership transfer
Handover includes dashboard access, the mailbox, the two-factor seed, backup codes and the document walkthrough. The ownership steps — updating the contact record, the settlement destination and the notification address — are staged over several days in the checklist, each one separately, so the gateway sees maintenance rather than a takeover.
Chargebacks and the first month
Gateways weight dispute ratio heavily. Keep descriptors clear, refund fast on any dispute-bound order and keep the ratio low through the first month; reserves and holds are imposed on pattern, not on identity. Nothing about verification protects an account with a visible dispute problem.
